added to the rates file. Click here to

Aust: More Health Fund schedule added

HCF, NIB, TAC and WorkSafe (Vic) have been added to the rates schedule file. The
rates BUPA provided us were still the July 2011 values so we have had to
update the rates file with the correct values. Click here to
download the latest file then import as usual in Utilities -> Rates

A preliminary schedule of updated fees are
available to be downloaded but at this stage it is still incomplete as
not all of the funds have published their new schedules. Check the
right-hand column on this page to see which Health Funds have updated.

Medibank Private Online Gapcover Claiming via ECLIPSE 29 June 2011
Medibank Private have recently announced that as of 30th May 2011 they
are able to accept GapCover medical claims via ECLIPSE.
If you
are using Online Claiming you will need to run the 'Get Participants
from HIC' option (Setup - HIC - Get HIC Participants) to update the
claiming capabilty. Remember to save the file in order to update
the functionality of the various participating funds in your database.
NZ: Elective Surgery Contract Pricing updates

An updated schedule of pricing for the Elective Surgery contracts has been made available from ACC. We are providing a small tool that will enable you to download the new schedule and insert it into your system as a new Category in the Inventory program. This will allow you to finish off the invoicing for last month and at the same time start creating invoices with the new fees. Detailed instructions on how to download and insert the fees will be emailed to you shortly

NZ: GST Fix
1 October 2010
Despite our testing the GST rate in SPM & PHM
has not correctly updated in some practices or hospitals. We have
made available a small program that will enforce the necessary changes
to your system. This fix will change the system GST rate to 15% and also
update the GST on the invoice items as listed in Setup - Charges -
Invoice Items.

correct rate or if you

NZ: ARTP Procedure code update

The SHU23 code was missing from one of the source files
that ACC sent us and was therefore omitted from the code update set
provided last month.

Aust: HBA/MBF/MBF Alliance amalgamation
7 July 2010
BUPA Australia have notified that all their retail brands (HBA, Mutual
Community, MBF, NRMA, SGIC, SGIO, & ANZ) are being amalgamated into one
company. BUPA now have only one set of Payment Rates that cover
all of the brands.
The Rates.Aus file, which you import and update
the fee schedules in SPM, no longer includes the individual brands and
instead they are replaced with new entries like BUPA-Vic, BUPA-NSW etc.
You will need to make changes in SPM to ensure the new BUPA rates are
linked to their various brands/policies.

NZ: ACC Procedure codes & pricing 22 June
2010
We have updated the list of procedures that ACC require,
from July 1st 2010, to be used in all ARTP reports submitted to them.
Also, for the private hospitals who have elective procedure contracts
with ACC there is a file with the updated reimbursement pricing
which can be imported.

NZ & Aust: SPM Update 300.2 released

Release 300.2 is now
available to update SPM. The use of the update requires that
version 300.0 has been previously installed on the computer. If
you are using a version prior to version 300.0 you will need to run a
new install on each computer.

Aust: Medicare, DVA and Funds updated 3
February 2010
Medicare have adjusted some of the ophthalmology
items. Some of the major Health Funds have also made adjustments
to their schedules. The schedule that DVA supplied us in November
was incorrect. The current file includes an adjustment to the 104
Out-of-Hospital item. Some of the Health Funds have made available
updated files and these are included. See the right-hand column
for the updated list.
NZ & AUST: SPM Version 300.0 released
3 December
2009
Version 300.0 of Specialist Practice Manager has been released and is
available to update your practice.
This release requires some special files to be installed onto
each workstation which means that the update process will take a bit
longer than usual.
Please call the Incisive Helpdesk for further information if you wish
to upgrade to the latest version.
Release Notes will be made available on request.
